Traveling Stash Giveaway Winner Announcement

So many people have used Random.org for their giveaways. . . .so I thought that I would also.  I didn't realize that it was a purchased item.

However, there is a free random generator available through Random.org. . . so I used that to pick the winning comment from the Traveling Stash Giveaway.

I didn't know how to copy the screen. . . but the generated sequence of winning comments is as follows:

2
4
5

1

Comment #2 was from Rebeckah Austin!  Congratulations Rebeckah.

I look forward to getting your mailing address so that I can mail the box on to you.

Travelling Stash GIVEAWAY

Ok, I've been a bit overwhelmed the past couple of days.

I've been trying to upload a picture of the fabrics I've added to the stash box; but the computer is not cooperating with me.

So, in order to get "this show on the road" I'll try to post the addition later.

7/23/2012 Edited to add:

A.  Link to what was already in the box.

B.  Picture of what I added to the box:

But here it is:

The GIVEAWAY!!

Now how do you win? and what are the rules?
Rules:
1. Be an active blogger. Post about receiving the box and the giveaway on your blog in a timely manner.
2. There's a note in the box that logs where the box has been. Please add your info and place the note back in the box.
3. There's a list of Rules and Guidelines in the box. Please read and follow these and return the list to the box.
4. You may take anything you like from the box. Just replace every item with comparable quilt shop quality items equal to the amount taken.
5. Ship the box to the next person in a reasonable amount of time.
6. Due to the amount of postage shipping is only within the USA.

Giveaway:
1. Leave a comment about your favorite color combination. . . and provide a link to something showing your choice (I love getting tips on great websites!).
2. For a second chance, you can follow my blog, not that I am all that exciting! Comment that you have.
3. For a third chance, mention this giveaway on your blog. Comment that you have.
The giveaway ends on Saturday, July 28th. I will draw the winning number using random.org and get the package in the mail on Monday, July 30th! Be sure that I have a way to get in touch with you!

Good luck everyone! It was so much fun to go through the stash and take and add!

I look forward to hearing from you. . . .and getting some more ideas for color combinations that may be out of my comfort zone.

In peace and pieces,

PS  Still can't get the upload to work. . . .I'll try later tonight or tomorrow --- it will be as an edit to this post.

Travelling Stash has arrived!!

I was the lucky winner of the Travelling Stash from Cindy.  We were on vacation when I got the email so I did not get the box until yesterday after the late mail delivery.

Here's a picture of the box just after opening it:

As you can see, it was full right to the top!

Here are detail pictures of what is in the box:

First, the patterns (plus a Puppy Love kit)

Then there is the miscellaneous items.  The item that looks like a straw is a stuffing tool. . . it would be great for any doll makers out there.  The brown checked item is a dishtowel all ready to be embellished.

Last, but certainly not least, is the fabric that was in the box.  Many different lengths of fabrics, several pieces might be a yard or more (I did not open every piece to measure it).

While there were many items to choose from I kept myself under control and only picked the items below:

Not that I needed more fabric to add to my stash, but I liked these the most.

I'll post more about the box and the rules (plus how to get a chance to win it) later today.  I just wanted to drop a quick posting to let everyone know that this box has landed.

On target for a great year (of reading, at least)

So far this year I have read 16 books!  Not too shabby of an accomplishment, IMHO.

If I am able to keep up the pace I will be on track to almost hit an "all time" high with the number of books read --- at least since I have been keeping track.

Here are how my stats are stacking up:

2008  read 34 books that year
2009  read 27 books that year
2010  read 16 books that year (guess I was slacking!)
2011  read 29 books that year

Of course, I do other things besides read (but it would be wonderful if all I had to do all day was quilt, crochet & read)!

I have a couple of finishes under my belt that I can't talk about because they are surprises. . . . . so photos will have to wait until after the gifts are received.

I'm glad that I have been keeping track of my books. . . . .it is great to look back and see what books I have gone through (and the list helps me find new books by favorite authors).

Have a happy day,

In peace and pieces,
