Is anyone planning on attending the show on Saturday?

Prayer Request Update

I have requested prayers several times on this blog for my BIL. . . . . and I am once again asking for prayers because things don't seem to be going well.

He is currently undergoing radiation treatments because the cancer has now gone into his bones.

The chemotherapy has been stopped because it is not doing anything. . . . and he cannot continue to take the pills they were giving him because he became extremely sick and unable to work.

He is only 51. . . . he & my sister (my youngest) have 3 kids. . . . their oldest has just turned 19.

I know that God has everything under His control but I am so lost with not understanding how good people can be put through such pain and agony while bad people can just live their lives without a care.

Should you be the praying type I would really appreciate your adding my BIL and sister to your prayers. . . they could certainly use a miracle right about now.

Busting my stash & UFO's in February (and beyond!)

 "I, Sherry V.  (quilter who is drowning in UFOs and fabric) am joining Quilting Hottie Haven's second annual DaGMT (Drop and Give Me Twenty) event, and pledge to quilt for at least 30 minutes (or until my fingers bleed) every day of the month of February, 2013. In doing so I hope to reduce my number of UFOs and stash of fabric by either finishing them, tossing them or re-purposing them in order to reclaim my sanity and let go of the guilt of not working on them at all. 

My main objectives (as in where I plan to start) are:

A.  2nd gift quilt (up to and including quilting).  The binding & label will be done by my partner in crime.

B.  Stack and Whack quilt to flimsy stage (this is needed as a sample for a retreat --- we are "previewing" it later this month.

C.  Catching up on block swaps that I am late on (due to family issues. . .but late nonetheless)

D.  Working on other projects as time permits.

(I think Beth Helfter is brilliant for coming up with this concept and inspiring me to join - I had to add that, Beth wrote it !)."
