I am still here. . . . .

Wow!  I cannot believe that I have not posted since June.

No excuses, except that I have been busy and really did not have all that much to talk about.

Well, I have "stuff" to talk about. . . . but it doesn't seem to be interesting enough to post out "into the world". . . . . .

I have fallen off most of my good intentions (like Christmas gifts, staying up to date on swaps, and downsizing the stuff in my life).

As soon as I have something interesting to post about, or just feel the need to check in again, I'll be back.

I have done quite a bit of reading so far this year. . . .check out the "Books Read" tab to see what I have picked up from the library.

Is this happening to anyone else?

I have been making comments on several quilt blogs the past couple of days but I get an error message saying that the comment was not allowed.

But when I go back to the blog my comment is there and everything seems fine.

It would appear that there is a glitch in a system somewhere. . . . and I have no idea how to fix it.


In other news,  the website that was stealing quilting blog contents has been shut down, at least for now.

I have added a copyright notice at the bottom of my posts to provide at least some modicum of protection.

It appears that the issue from earlier this week has many bloggers thinking about how to protect their words & pictures. . . . and it appears that there are many that will be going with truncated feeds.  However, I hate having to click into another site in order to read a full posting (and I hate the same thing when it happens on Facebook). . . . so, since that is a pet peeve of mine I guess I won't be subjecting anyone that chooses to read my posts to it.

Gee, here I only post intermittently. . . . . and not anywhere near consistently. . . . . and to think that I got my words & pictures hijacked.   At least I can say that I was in some pretty good company!!  LOL

Goodbye 2013. . . . . .glad to see you go!

Happy Belated New Year!

Mr. Books and I are glad to see 2013 go "bye bye". . . .it was a not so great year (especially the third quarter) and had much more sorrow than we wanted.

I am hopeful that I will be back blogging on a more regular basis. . . . I have a lot to catch up with.

Here's hoping that 2014 will be a much better year.

Frazzled. . . and undecided

I have been home all week due to this pneumonia that I just can not kick.  This is, hopefully, the last time that I will lose from work --- but that depends on what the doctor says later this week when I go back for my latest re-check.

So, that is the frazzled part. . . . it is driving me nuts that I am home but just do not have the energy to do anything --- and I would really like to get some housework done.

I did get some laundry done --- once down the stairs to load the washer, wait for that to get done & then place the wash in the dryer and 2nd load in the washer.  Then it is back upstairs for a while.

While in the basement I get so tired. . . of looking at the clutter.  Unfortuately, most of the clutter on "my" side of the baseement is fabric, yarn, books and patterns.  And there is absolutely no rhyme or reason to how I have stuff stored (mostly because of the multiple floods)!

I have started to fold up the "excess" fabric that haven't made it to a tote box. . . so that has helped a bit.

My latest dilemna is that I can't decide whether I should be working on kits, UFO's, new projects (to use up the fabric) or what I should be doing.  Part of me is just saying that I should just get rid of all the fabric that I have not yet cut to free up room and then work on the kits and UFO's that I have without feeling so guilty about the amount of fabric I have.

But then I start thinking of how much I've spent on all that fabric and I can't justify just "dumping" the fabric.

So, that is where I am at right at this time. . . . . how do you decide what to work on? 

Great suggestions for organizing would be appreciated as well.
